This role is designed exclusively for university bachelor's degree recent graduates in the last 24 months in Computer Science or related field.

As Software Development Engineer(s), selected candidate(s) will have the chance to have an impact on thousands of Amazon customers (from buyers and sellers, to Amazon employees) while working with industry-leading technologies. Amazon's eero Software Development Engineering organization is growing and we're looking for Software Engineer(s) with technical coding/programming academic background who thrive on learning from complex problems and are able to face challenges while working with multiple technical teams at Amazon.

The selected candidate(s) is expected to contribute to all parts of the software development and deployment lifecycle, including but not limited to: design, development, documentation, testing and operations. They will be an integral part of a team that encourages experimentation and innovation on behalf of our customers. This role will directly participate in building and correcting software in partnership with other developers within the organization.

Within this role, selected candidate(s) will not only code, but also drive the direction of the software architecture, and team best practices.

Alongside their technical team, selected candidate(s) will be responsible for delivering production-ready code that will be used by thousands of Amazon customers, and own end-to-end customer experience of the services and features that are built. As an Software Development Engineer at Amazon, you will play a pivotal role in the following:
• Work with the team to help drive business decisions.
• Design, implement, test, deploy and maintain innovative software solutions to drive services optimizations, cost, and security.
• Use software engineering best practices to ensure a high standard of quality for all of the team deliverables.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor in Brazil geographic markets. The base pay for this full-time, permanent position ranges from BRL R$9,500 to BRL R$ 10,500 per month (in addition to Amazon Restricted Stock Units and Sign-on Payments in Year 1 and Year 2).

Key job responsibilities

Work on projects and collaborate across Product, Design, QA, and Engineering to build new and innovative application experiences for the iOS platform

Shape our product vision and build exciting business and customer facing iOS features.

Enhance and optimize existing software components to improve reliability, scalability, and flexibility.

Define, design, and develop the tactical direction of our server side and middle-ware services.

A day in the life

As a Software Engineer on the eero team, you will have an opportunity to collaborate with Design, Product, Legal, Security, and cross-functional Engineering teams to enhance our retail hardware and software offerings. From building reusable UI components, to integrating with cloud APIs, you will evolve our mobile offerings to handle continuous requests from around the world. eero’s iOS app is essential to connecting users to their networks and giving them control to manage devices and troubleshoot. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating new frameworks and tools, mentoring fellow engineers, improving our build process, and shaping eero’s future roadmap.

About the team

We are scaling the eero team and are looking for a motivated, experienced, and product-focused iOS engineer to help us build word-class software that is scalable, highly available, maintainable, and secure. We work on products that define how our customers interact with their eero networks and hardware. We power their experience from login, network setup to device management and much more! We are a full stack team with specialized developers in mobile, web, and cloud engineering working on key features built around the user experience.

Recruiting process:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Completed university bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field in the last 24 months [OR] currently enrolled in last semester of Bachelor's degree [OR] current Master's/Doctorate's student in Computer Science or related field.
• Knowledge of at least one programming language(s): Java, HTML/CSS, Python, SQL, C, C++, etc.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, arrays, hash tables and graphs and problem solving.
• Intermediate/advanced English proficiency B2+ or higher.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Previous Software Development experience with iOS.
