This position will provide IT Infrastructure technology leadership as a Scrum Master in the Server Operating Systems support and development team. The Scrum Master will help facilitate the team by implementing and ensuring the use of the scrum framework is followed. The Scrum Master will be committed to the scrum values and practices and remain flexible to addressing any special opportunities that arise where the team can improve their workflow.
Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:
This position reports to an IT Manager, as do other staff jobs in technical infrastructure sections. You will be the go-to person responsible for applying scrum to produce high-quality work. Scrum Master duties include managing timelines, resolving problems and coaching team members on Agile methodologies. You should have excellent knowledge of the scrum framework, with all its artifacts and techniques. You'll also need the ability to coordinate people and projects (occasionally facilitating changes) with your mind set on deliverables. Incumbent should be a strong communicator, a capable leader and invested in Agile frameworks.
Responsibilities
• Manage project scope and timelines
• Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings and daily stand-ups
• Coach team members in Agile framework
• Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration
• Be the point of contact for external communications (customers or stakeholders)
• Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur
• Help teams implement changes effectively
• Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in related field or 6 or more years of experience
• Experience in a scrum master role
• Knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts
• Good knowledge of other Agile frameworks
• Excellent communication and project/team leadership skills
• Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability
• Outstanding organizational skills
• Relevant degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years leading with Agile methodology
Top Candidate Will Also Have:
• Scrum master certification
• Experience in operational support of technical infrastructure systems
• Previous experience in maintaining Server Operating Systems (MS Windows, Red Hat Linux)
Additional Details:
• The primary location for this position is Peoria, IL, Dallas, TX or Nashville, TN ( this is not a remote role)
• Candidates are expected to work in office each week
