Screenwriter, Vertical Microdramas
Job Description: • Write one new vertical microdrama script every 5 weeks, or edit and adapt existing scripts. • Create compelling, fast-paced dialogue that resonates with a mobile-first audience. • Collaborate closely with the development and marketing teams to ensure scripts deliver marketable moments that drive viewership and retention. • Translate classic romance tropes and fresh story concepts into addictive, binge-worthy episodes. • Incorporate feedback quickly and iterate to hit deadlines with precision. Requirements: • Experience writing for another vertical microdrama company (please include samples with your submission). • A deep understanding of romance tropes, enemies-to-lovers dynamics, cliffhangers, and episodic hooks. • Familiarity with the structure and pacing of vertical dramas—able to match the rhythm, tension, and emotional beats audiences expect. • Skill at writing sharp, emotionally charged dialogue that feels natural and addictive in short-form episodic format. • A proven ability to work quickly and independently, meeting tight turnaround times without sacrificing quality. • Passion for the intersection of storytelling and technology, and excitement to help build a generational AI x Entertainment company.
