About the position
Sentara is seeking a Scheduler/Customer Service Representative for the Clinical Access Centralized Scheduling Department. This role involves managing patient scheduling and addressing customer service inquiries related to eligibility, claims, and payments, primarily in a call center environment. The position will transition to remote work after an initial onsite orientation period.
Responsibilities
⢠Handle incoming calls to address eligibility, claim, and payment issues.

⢠Perform patient scheduling and referral work.

⢠Provide quality service and customer satisfaction through effective communication and education.

⢠Research and resolve telephone inquiries related to customer service.

⢠Schedule a high volume of procedures for patients in a computerized scheduling system.

⢠Accurately obtain required information in the scheduling process.

⢠Responsible for order entry process, communications, guest relations, and medical record maintenance.
Requirements
⢠High School Diploma or equivalent.

⢠Two years of customer service experience.
,
⢠Experience with medical insurance in a hospital or physician's office setting, specifically in Cardiology preferred.

⢠Experience scheduling patient appointments.
,
⢠High volume call center experience preferred.
,
⢠Epic EMR experience preferred.

⢠Data entry skills.
