SAP Security & Controls Consultant - 6 Months

This is a remote position. We are seeking an experienced SAP Security & Controls Consultant for a remote 6‑month contract supporting a role design and access governance initiative. This position requires occasional travel to Southern California and involves close collaboration with business process owners across multiple functional areas. The consultant will be responsible for requirements gathering, SAP role and profile definition, spreadsheet‑based validation, and controls support. The ideal candidate is a mid‑level consultant who can operate independently and manage stakeholder engagement without daily supervision. Key Responsibilities • Conduct virtual and in‑person requirements sessions with business stakeholders • Define SAP roles, profiles, and authorization concepts aligned to business processes • Develop and validate role design spreadsheets • Perform segregation‑of‑duties (SoD) analysis and support remediation • Document requirements, decisions, and design deliverables • Coordinate with IT, audit, and business teams • Support testing cycles related to SAP access, roles, and controls • Provide guidance on SAP security and controls best practices Requirements Qualifications • 7+ years experience in consulting role • 3–5 years of hands‑on SAP Security, SAP GRC, or SAP Controls experience • Strong background in SAP role design and authorization concepts • Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment • Experience facilitating workshops and engaging with end‑user groups • Solid understanding of SoD principles and internal controls • Proficiency with Excel for mapping, analysis, and validation • Strong communication, documentation, and follow‑through skills • Able to work West Coast business hours Preferred Skills • SAP GRC Access Control (ARA, ARM, BRM, EAM) • Audit, compliance, or IT controls experience • S/4HANA exposure • Prior consulting experience Benefits • W‑2 or 1099 engagement options • Medical and dental benefits available Contract Details • Remote role with occasional travel to San Diego • 6‑month contract with potential extension • Competitive hourly rate Apply tot his job
