Baer is looking for SAP S4 Finance Consultant for a 3+ month Federal remote project.
Title: SAP S4 Finance Consultant
Location: Hybrid - Travel Once a Month to Harrisburg, PA
Duration: 3+ Months with Extension
Rate: Hourly + Client Approved Travel Expenses Reimbursed
Alignment: W2 or (C2C or Vendors Not Permitted)
Project Overview: Our client is leading a multi-year SAP S/4HANA transformation for a state-level transportation authority responsible for managing and modernizing toll-based roadway infrastructure and enterprise systems. This project includes the migration of ECC, SRM, and BW systems to S/4HANA.
Description:
• Configure and support SAP S/4HANA AP processes including Vendor Master, Invoice Verification, Payments, bank interfaces, and closing activities.
• Manage end-to-end AP lifecycle from invoice capture through payment and reconciliation.
• Ensure proper Universal Journal (ACDOCA) integration, account determination, taxes, and G/L reconciliation.
• Design and support integrations with vendor portals, ECM tools (e.g., OnBase), and SAP modules (MM, CO, AA).
• Collaborate with technical teams on interfaces (APIs, IDocs, BAPIs), monitoring, and issue resolution.
• Lead or support requirements, configuration, testing, cutover, documentation, and production support.
• Partner with business stakeholders to standardize processes, strengthen controls, and drive continuous improvement.
Required Skills:
• 3+ years of hands-on SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI) experience with a strong focus on Accounts Payable.
• Proven configuration experience with SAP AP modules and payment processes.
• Solid understanding of Universal Journal (ACDOCA) structure and financial integration concepts.
• Experience integrating SAP with external systems such as vendor portals or ECM platforms.
• Knowledge of SAP integration technologies (APIs, IDocs, BAPIs).
• Experience supporting testing cycles and production support.
