Job Posting Title: Sales Manager-Celebrations & Events Req ID: 10118149 Job Description: About The Role & Team: Are you interested in joining the Sales organization where you guide our Guests to seek a unique event experience for their special occasion such as Birthdays, Anniversaries, Family Gatherings, Corporate, Citywide, and Incentive trips? As a Sales Manager with the Walt Disney Company, you will work with our Guest to proactively identify the perfect venue, entertainment, décor, and menu. Of central importance, is the ability to identify and articulate sales strategies to expand revenue opportunities, along with being knowledgeable of products and services across Walt Disney World. Join this fabulous team! You will report to the Sales and Service Director for Disney Celebration and Events. This is a Full-Time position. What You Will Do: Develop opportunities through assigned leads, definite lists, new business solicitation, trade shows and other sales activities. Excel in closing the business in a tight time frame. Negotiate contracts that fairly meet Disney's and our client's needs – representing the best interests of all the lines of business (F&B, Operations, Disney Event Group). Manage contracts, credit terms, and vital event approvals. Use systems to maintain accurate records, supervise sales activity, and have willingness to learn new systems. Be accountable for personal sales efficiency, forecasting, and ensuring that it is reflected accurately on sales reports, and follows SUCCESS guidelines, monthly. Actively develop new sales initiatives with expected business growth. Create and maintain internal relationships, using them to collaborate in decision-making, problem-solving, and sharing information with clients, peers, and partners. Conduct site inspections, preplanning meetings, and product orientation. Participate in learning opportunities thru local organizations, sophisticated trends, and social media outlets. Required Qualifications & Skills: At least 3 years of Event Sales experience or equivalent. Proven verbal, written communication, and organization skills. Understanding client needs, ability to paint a picture of creative events. Proven client management and relationship building abilities. Knowledge in event timing, Food and Beverage, Photography, Decore, and Entertainment. Demonstrated problem solving, decision-making skills, and influencing abilities. Proficiency with digital selling, virtual site visits, and Zoom presentations. Ability to host site inspections and Client entertainment opportunities at night. Understanding of current market conditions in Events Industry. Have knowledge in all Disney products and services.
