Title: Sales Applications Specialist Location: Northern Virginia. Up to 50% travel. Our Prevent product line is a rapidly growing area that is particularly popular in the booming data center and telecom markets.The Sales Applications Specialist will assist the Prevent Sales Team with conducting site surveys, measuring equipment for Prevent screens and providing quotes to customers. Open to locations throughout the United States as position will be remote. ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Independently visit customer locations to conduct site surveysMeasure equipment for potential Prevent screen installationPrepare drawings with dimensions from measurements takenProvide quotes to customersTeach distributors/new customers how to measure for PreVent as neededWork with customers via phone or video conferencing to measure projects remotelyIdentify new sales opportunities Work with Permatron Inside Sales Team as needed50% overnight travel. All travel is company paid.Responsible to clearly communicate all open issues with the management team to ensure issues are resolved as quickly as possible.Responsible for keeping detailed expense reports. Conduct virtual meetings and application assistance with customers Required Skills/Abilities: Valid Driver’s License and Clear Driving Record Ability to work on and climb laddersAbility to stand/walk for extended periods of timeUnderstand technical drawings and diagramsAbility to evaluate job related safety hazardsComfortable interacting with HVAC/Maintenance personnelExperience with or ability to learn CAD software for generating customer drawingsKey Performance Indicators (KPI’s) / Definition of Success:No complaints from customers relating to poor service/interactionSurveys and quotes completed on-timeAccurate measurements and drawings that lead to quality installationsEducation and Experience:3-5 years of experience selling and/or installing commercial HVAC equipment (chillers, cooling towers, air handlers) Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to access and navigate the production facility.Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
