The Sales Agent role focuses on handling inbound and outbound calls to assess insurance needs, provide quotes, close sales, and maintain customer relationships.ResponsibilitiesHandle 15-30+ inbound calls and 50+ outbound calls with voicemail a day to and from prospects/customers who are seeking coverage, managing their policy, or requiring service assistanceAssess the P&C insurance needs such as general liability, workers comp or business auto and excess policies of each prospect and customer and recommend suitable products and services from our portfolio of carriers and marketsProvide fast and accurate quotes over the phone for prospects and customers using our online application system and toolsClose sales by following a sales script and process, by persuading prospects and customers to buy our products and services and by overcoming any objections or concerns they may havePromote additional lines of business within an accountBuild and maintain positive relationships with prospects and customers by providing excellent service and follow-up throughout the sales process and beyondKeep track of your sales activities and results using our customer database, AMS (Agency Management Systems), and ensure that all information and documentation are complete and accurateCollaborate with other sales agents, customer service representatives, underwriters, and managers to achieve team and company goalsAdapt to new and evolving technology as we improve our processes and workflowsSkillsHigh School Diploma or general education degree (GED); bachelor's degree preferredProven experience as a telesales representative or other sales role in the insurance industry, or commercial insurance sales experienceP&C insurance license for California required with ability to provide proof of licensing upon requestWilling to work onsite in our Carlsbad office Monday-Friday for the first year, ability to go hybrid after pending quota performanceConstruction insurance sales experience preferredBilingual in English and Spanish is a plusBenefitsMedical, dental and vision insurance401(k) plan with matchPaid time offComprehensive benefitsCompany OverviewGaslamp Insurance Services specializes in construction insurance services.
