Key responsibilities Perform proactive and preventative maintenance on complex automated equipment. Respond promptly to faults in live distribution warehouse environments and conduct fault diagnosis. Use the latest tools and techniques to maximise equipment effectiveness. Modify and upgrade existing equipment to improve performance and reliability. Uphold health and safety best practices and maintain a safe working environment. Contribute to continuous improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency. Qualifications – Basic UK national or right to work in the UK (including EU nationals with settled status) who has lived in the UK or an EEA/UK overseas territory for at least 3 years prior to September 2026. If on a visa, you must be able to legally work and reside in Wales for the full duration of the programme, which ends September 2030. UK resident for the entire duration of the programme. Not registered for a UK government‑funded course that ends August 2026 or later. Minimum of 18 years old before entering an Amazon building (by September 2026). At least 3 GCSEs at Grades 9‑4 / A–C (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and a science/technology subject. Proof of all required qualifications must be submitted by 17 July 2026; failure to provide verified qualifications by this date will result in the withdrawal of any conditional offer. Statement of Comparability required for non‑UK qualifications, obtained through UK ENIC. Position is a 36–48 month fixed‑term contract; applicants must not already hold a qualification at the same or higher level in this subject. Applicants should have little or no prior knowledge or experience of the occupation. Qualifications – Preferred 5 GCSEs at Grades 9‑4 / A–C (or equivalent) including Maths, English, and a science/technology subject. Achieved or currently studying towards a T‑Level in an engineering subject, \'A\' Levels with a bias toward science and technology, or another engineering‑focused qualification. Throughout the apprenticeship you will learn fault diagnosis, preventative maintenance, fluid power systems, hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies, electrical testing and wiring, PLC operations, CAD design, 3D printing, and more.
