Job Summary:
Fiesta Mart is looking for a dedicated and customer-oriented Grocery Clerk to join our team at the Store 001 Houston Quitman location. As a Grocery Clerk, you will play a key role in ensuring that our store remains clean, well-stocked, and organized while delivering outstanding customer service. Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their grocery needs and answering questions.
Clean and maintain grocery aisles, shelves, and display cases to ensure a clean and organized store.
Replenish and rotate stock on self-serve displays, ensuring that all items are properly labeled and priced.
Assist in unloading deliveries, organizing products, and stocking shelves as required.
Perform inventory checks and assist in organizing products to maintain efficient store operations.
Ensure proper handling of merchandise and compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
Handle customer complaints and concerns professionally and promptly.
Perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and stooping for extended periods of time, ensuring the stores cleanliness and organization.
Work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, to meet the stores needs.
Collaborate with team members and the Grocery Manager to ensure smooth department operations.
Qualifications and Experience:
Must be able to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking) to assist customers and coworkers.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, and shelf tags.
Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information to customers and colleagues.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions.
Must be able to regularly lift up to 25 pounds, frequently lift up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 60 pounds.
Previous experience in retail or grocery settings is a plus, but not required.
A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to customer service.

Retail Management Certificate or experience in a supervisory role.
