Restaurant Accountant

About Us AOC provides full-service accounting and financial consulting services to restaurants and related businesses. We support our clients by maintaining their books and providing them with regular reporting and analytics to best manage their business. AOC’s service is built on hospitality for all restaurants, both large and small. About the role As a Staff Accountant, you will serve as a primary point of contact between our clients and AOC. In this role, you will be responsible for managing weekly accounting tasks for 8-12 clients, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail while processing accounting packages. You will support our General Ledger Accountants and Client Managers by utilizing critical thinking and exceptional attention to detail. Success in this role requires the ability to manage multiple ongoing client relationships with professionalism and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Please note that we are are currently only accepting candidates in the following states: AZ, CA, KS ,LA, MI, ND, NV, OR, TX, VA or WA Specific duties include but are not limited to: • Processing accounts payable: inputting invoices, reconciling vendor statements and preparing payments • Processing payroll: inputting hours, changing rates/withholdings/deductions as instructed • Inputting and reconciling daily sales • Entering bank transactions and reconciling bank activity and accounts • Communicating with clients and co-workers via email, phone and Zoom on a regular basis What we are looking for • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping • Strong familiarity with QuickBooks, Excel and 10 key touch • Experience handling full cycle AP with large volume of invoices (500 invoices or more per week) • Experience processing payroll through systems like ADP & Paychex • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines; strong time management skills needed • Ability to liaison with clients as required; provide excellent customer service and build effective working relationships • A passion for the restaurant business and understanding of how it operates, or a strong desire to learn What we offer • $55,000 - $65,000 Depending on experience • Fully remote position with regular office hours (pacific time zone) • Health insurance • Paid holidays • PTO • 401K • Employee charitable match program Job Type: Full-time Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • Health insurance • Paid time off • Work from home Schedule: • Monday to Friday Application Question(s): • Tell us in a a sentence or two why you are interested in applying to this position Work Location: Remote Apply tot his job
