Research Assistant, Economic Research
The Institute of International Finance (IIF) is the global association of the financial industry, and they are seeking a Research Assistant to join their Economic Research department. The role involves providing administrative support to the Chief Economist and assisting with data collection, report production, and event management.ResponsibilitiesProvide administrative support to the Managing Director/Chief Economist: Maintain complex calendar across time zones; book domestic and international travel; organize meetings and conference calls; develop detailed itineraries for meetings and travel; complete expense reports; manage correspondence and deadlines; respond to requests from other departments; coordinate the distribution of correspondence and documents; draft correspondence; assist in the preparation of briefings and agendas; update member databaseAssist with economic report production process: Check report statistics, tables and database for consistency. Proofread and provide editorial support on report drafts. Draft paragraphs/sections for reports as neededAssist with data collection in support of economic research: Assist in the collection of information needed for report tables and databases. Collect other relevant information as directed by supervisor. Assist in the maintenance and revision of databases. Assist with ad hoc country-specific data requests. Compile printout of daily news coverage for department economistsProvide support for special projects: Assist in the planning and implementation of meetings and events. Assist in the preparation of Power Point presentations and maintain electronic storage of presentations. Assist in the preparation of special studies and presentations. Assist in drafting talking points or other ad hoc research for use by department.
