The successful candidate will have primary responsibility for training veterinary students, residents and interns in beef cattle production medicine, while providing reproductive, medical and surgical services to private clients and the UF beef cattle units. Didactic teaching responsibilities will include coordination of the 1-credit beef cattle production medicine elective course, as well as assisting with didactic lectures in relevant areas across the veterinary curriculum, such as production and preventive medicine, nutrition, theriogenology, and ruminant medicine courses.

A successful Tenure Track candidate will be expected to initiate and maintain research through extramural funding directed towards beef cattle health and population medicine. Opportunities exist for participation in graduate programs and for collaboration within established research programs in other departments and colleges of the University of Florida. Clinical Track faculty are expected to be involved in scholarly activities and participate in collaborative research.
