Reporting Specialist

GM Financial is the wholly owned captive finance subsidiary of General Motors, providing global auto finance solutions. The Reporting Specialist will support the production of reporting outputs by compiling and analyzing raw data, ensuring data integrity and compliance while collaborating with stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesPerform data mining using SQL, SAS, Cognos, Salesforce, and/or Excel via Enterprise Data Warehouse and Azure CloudGenerate standard and ad hoc reports from various data sources, ensuring accuracy and timelinessTranslate technical data into user-friendly formats for stakeholders and decision-makersMaintain and update data reporting processes and documentation to reflect system enhancements and changesSupport new projects, initiatives, and testing requirementsEnsure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirementsSkillsPost-secondary degree or diploma requiredWell-versed in various data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, SAS, and IBM CognosDemonstrated understanding and experience with technical systems, datasets, data warehouses, data analysis techniques and data visualizationPrecision in data manipulation to ensure accurate and reliable report productionEfficient time management skills to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneouslyProficiency in basic mathematical and statistical calculations to perform data summarizationsAbility to extract insights from complex datasets and translate them into actionable reportsInterpersonal skills to work with cross functional teams, understand reporting requirements, and provide valuable insightUnderstand general data governance principles to maintain a strong commitment to handling sensitive information responsibly and adhere to corporate guidelinesAutomotive Finance, Data Reporting and Analytics, Leasing or Retail Finance preferredExperience with data analysis, data mining, statistic, and forecasting and loan portfolio analysis as asset1-3 years of experience in a similar role preferredExperience with Cognos, SAS, Salesforce and Excel dashboards preferredPrevious experience with mining high volumes of dataBenefitsExcellent Health, Vision and Dental BenefitsCompany Match program for RRSP contributionsGenerous Paid Time Off (personal, vacation, sick, paid holidays)Casual Dress Code - Dynamic relationships between teams and leadershipQuarterly Volunteer OpportunitiesCompany OverviewGM Financial is the captive finance company and a wholly-owned subsidiary of General Motors Company.
