The New York Post is seeking a Reporter (Tues-Sat, day shift) who wants a seat at the smorgasbord we call the Sunday New York Post!
We like fun and fearless generalists who can advance continuing national stories and generate new ones; investigators who live to unmask the corrupt; and tough reporters to cover every aspect of a tough city (don't be shy about your specialties).
Responsibilities:
● Quickly writing clear, concise copy on national and local news
● Delivering long and short form journalism in the boldest tabloid voice
● Spotting a potentially viral story and quickly turn it into a great read
● Adhering to the Post’s signature style
Qualifications:
● 3+ years of relevant experience covering news on the local or national level
● Experience working in a fast paced news environment
● Strong news gathering skills and experience with social media platforms in order to quickly confirm information during live news events
● Digital production experience preferred
● Bachelor’s degree or higher
