Your role involves: Crafting design solutions that cater to customer needs, making sure they're usable, feasible, and valuable. Finding the sweet spot between customer advocacy and understanding the big-picture business strategy. Collaborating with product managers and engineers to whip up both long-term strategies and quick, delightful wins. Contributing to product growth by experimenting and optimizing at each step of the design process. Navigating between big-picture design concepts and precise, clear executions, like switching between planning a grand feast and assembling a simple dish. Co-developing the Publix Design Language (design system) with your fellow design taste-testers, ensuring a consistent and delightful user experience. Participating in design reviews and regularly sharing your creations with the design and leadership teams. Potential Annual Pay with Bonus 124,800 - 189,735 Year End Bonus As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month's extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above. Maximum Base Pay 14,595 Required Qualifications A minimum of 7 years of relevant Product or UX design experience, showcasing your well-stocked cart of design skills. A bachelor's degree in fields like HIC, Interaction Design, Product design, or a similar discipline. An online portfolio or samples displaying your design prowess, demonstrating your knack for creating user-centered designs and innovative product solutions. Proficiency in Figma, indicating your comfort with essential design tools. Sharing Figma files will be the key ingredient. A track record of crafting digital shopping experiences that blend precision, refinement, and delightful surprises. Proficiency in core design domains such as visual aesthetics, prototyping, interaction design, and information architecture, ensuring your design skills cover the entire shopping list. Preferred Qualifications Problem-solving skills that rival the best grocery shoppers, turning user and business needs into practical, satisfying solutions. Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills - essential ingredients for successful collaboration. A history of iterative design, working closely with product and technical teams from start to finish. Skill in driving the checking-off of the grocery list in the design review process and independently finalizing design requirements. Proficiency in design best practices across mobile, web platforms, and devices, coupled with a solid grasp of usability principles and techniques. The ability to explain the recipe of your design process, decisions, and creations to various stakeholders, along with a willingness to seek feedback. A meticulous attention to detail and a passion for refining your work until it's just right. A love for teamwork and a desire to learn and grow alongside fellow designers.
