You will report to the Sales Director - Resort Sales.

This is a Full-Time position.

What You Will Do:

Develop meeting opportunities through new business solicitation, sales calls, tradeshow, and other sales activities
Develop individual sales plan against assigned vertical market
Conduct site inspections, pre-planning meetings, and product orientations
Negotiate contracts that fairly meet Disney's and our client's needs – representing the best interests of all the lines of business (F&B, Operations, Disney Event Group)
Develop creative meeting and event solutions representative of the Disney brand
Collaborate with main partners to ensure excellent guest service delivery
Have knowledge in all Disney products and services
Manage contracts, room blocks, credit terms, and approvals
Ensure a no more than 24 hour turn around for internal and external client communications
Participate in staff meetings – sharing standard processes and important insights
Use systems to maintain accurate records, initiate reports, and supervise sales activity
Participate in ongoing training seminars to further improve current skills
Have knowledge of the Disney Advantage tools and use them to build solutions for our clients
Mentor for other cast members
Be responsible for personal sales efficiency, ensuring that it is reflected accurately on sales reports and following SUCCESS guidelines, on a monthly basis
Participate in an important Disney committee that improves the experience for the cast and our clients
Participate in a local or regional industry (vendor or hospitality) organization that allows you to showcase Disney as a meetings solution
Design and host site inspections and client entertainment opportunities
Know and follow all Disney company polices and guidelines
Represent the Disney brand in all internal and external client interactions

Required Qualifications & Skills:

At least five years of conventions sales experience and developing new markets
Proven knowledge of meetings and conventions, including market segments, trends, national and local competitors, processes, work flows, food and beverage, and entertainment
Negotiation skills for sophisticated, wide-ranging meetings and contracts
Experience with the our goals associated with different markets and what clients are trying to accomplish
Capability to plan complex groups
Creativity to find solutions in new ways and enhance the Guest and Client experiences
Demonstrated client management and partnering abilities
Understanding of client needs
Social and networking skills and awareness of cultural sensitivity/diversity
Proficiency with Social Media technology in a sales environment
Proficiency with Digital selling, virtual site visits, and presentations
Understanding of market conditions and buyers in National and main markets

Education:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
