With global offices and hybrid work environments, the team is assembling the brightest designers, design strategists, and product managers to collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, shaping the future of the customer experience.As a Senior Experience Designer III, you will envision, create, and maintain end-to-end customer activities for various consumer-facing products and services. Additionally, you will work independently, with some guidance, to solve complex problems, producing sound, effective design solutions while collaborating with the team to develop new ideas. Working with partners in product, technology, and business, you will collaborate on a wide range of design programs or products.Understanding and applying patterns from the Verizon Design System to create a consistent user experience.Thoroughly exploring, refining, and documenting the design solutions.Actively exploring user context, and engaging in target user activities when possible.Participating in insight-gathering activities (informal or formal, primary or secondary) and creating design solutions that leverage user insights.Actively researching competitive products, industry trends, and topics, and recommending activities, solutions, and methods to guide team members and stakeholders.Staying updated on Verizon's business, strategy, and organizational structure.Effectively designing solutions within Verizon's business context and revenue model.Maintaining a working knowledge of UI standards for common platforms (iOS, Android, Web).Working within Verizon's front-end and back-end technology constraints and capabilities.Giving and receiving constructive feedback.Communicating the current project plan, goals, and expected outcomes.Articulating user, business, and/or technical reasoning for detailed design decisions in critiques or presentations.Mentoring peers and new hires by sharing experiences and processes to enable growth.Identifying project needs and engaging stakeholders in conversation to fully understand needs.Presenting work and engaging in constructive dialogue with stakeholders to understand the context of tasks and ensure strong design rationale.Contributing to recommendations for shaping appropriate user insight-gathering activities (informal or formal, primary or secondary).Playing a role in evolving the design system by proposing updates and participating in feedback opportunities.Exploring, refining, and documenting design solutions while adhering to design system guidelines.Participating in the interview and evaluation process as requested, based on the interview approach defined by the team.What we are looking for…You’ll need to have:Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.Four or more years of relevant work experience.Three or more years of experience in design.Experience with common design software (Figma, Adobe, etc.).Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.Even better if you have one or more of the following:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design.Portfolio of professional work.Experience with Agile software delivery environments.Contributed to multiple design programs or shipped products with a large user base.Contributed to overall product success.Experience with Fortune 500 organizational environments.If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.Where you’ll be workingIn this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.Scheduled Weekly Hours40Equal Employment OpportunityWe’re proud to be an equal opportunity employer - and celebrate our employees’ differences, including race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, and Veteran status. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience.
