[Remote] Xpert: Senior Java Developer (Data | Machine Learning) (IT consultant)

Inspired Testing is a specialist IT Talent Solutions company, and they are seeking a Senior Java Developer to develop and enhance a large-scale recommendation system. The role involves collaborating with engineering teams to integrate machine learning models and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Maintain and enhance an end-to-end recommendation engine for personalised discovery
ā¢ Partner with engineering teams to integrate ML models with data pipelines powering recommendations
ā¢ Work with product and stakeholders to deliver features that meet customer and business needs
ā¢ Communicate system behaviour, trade-offs, and results clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
Skills
ā¢ Degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or similar (or equivalent experience)
ā¢ Proven ML engineering experience on large-scale data systems
ā¢ Strong Java, Python, and SQL
ā¢ TensorFlow 2.x experience (matrix factorisation, factorisation machines advantageous)
ā¢ Kubernetes experience
ā¢ Spark and Flink advantageous
ā¢ OpenSearch beneficial
