Billing & Bonus: They do bonuses based on Collaborative quarterly billing. The Lawyer can combine their billables with their legal assistant to hit higher numbers.
Responsibilities:
Ā Legal Representation:
Ā Provide effective and strategic legal defense to clients in workers' compensation cases.
Ā Conduct legal research and analysis to build strong case strategies.
Ā Case Management:
Ā Manage a caseload of workers' compensation files from inception to resolution.
Ā Attend hearings, mediations, and depositions on behalf of clients.
Ā Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
Ā Client Communication:
Ā Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on case developments.
Ā Collaborate with clients to understand their goals and develop appropriate legal strategies.
Ā Legal Compliance:
Ā Stay abreast of changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations.
Ā Ensure legal compliance in all aspects of case management.
Ā Negotiation and Settlement:
Ā Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance carriers.
Ā Evaluate settlement offers and advise clients on the best course of action.
Qualifications:
Ā Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Ā Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
Ā Proven experience as a Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney.
Ā Strong knowledge of workers' compensation laws, regulations, and case precedents.
Ā Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ā Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Ā Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.

Pay: $200,000.00 - $220,000.00 per year
