[Remote] W2 Contract -Java Developer (AWS, Terraform, CI/CD)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Covetus is seeking a Java Developer with extensive experience in AWS and Terraform. The role involves developing and deploying Java applications, managing AWS infrastructure, and building CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient software delivery. Responsibilities • Develop, test, and deploy robust and scalable Java applications and microservices using frameworks such as Spring Boot • Design, implement, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure consistency and automation • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions to automate application build, testing, and deployment processes • Utilize and integrate core AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS, and EKS to build cloud-native solutions • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, ensuring high quality and timely delivery • Monitor application performance and troubleshoot technical issues across development, staging, and production environments • Optimize AWS resource utilization for performance, cost-efficiency, and operational excellence Skills • 12+ years of Experience • Proven experience as a Java Developer with strong knowledge of core Java and object-oriented programming (OOP) principles • Strong experience with the Spring framework, especially Spring Boot, for building microservices and RESTful APIs • Proficiency in Terraform for automating AWS infrastructure provisioning and management • Hands-on experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines, specifically using GitHub Actions • Familiarity with essential AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS, and EKS (Kubernetes) • Experience with containerization technologies, particularly Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes (EKS) • Knowledge of database technologies (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and experience with AWS RDS • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience Company Overview • Headquartered in Dallas, Tx, Covetus LLC is a trusted name in the IT services industry.
