[Remote] Technology Procurement Intern

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. SWCA Environmental Consultants is seeking a Technology Procurement Intern to join their Technology Team in the Summer of 2026. This internship involves supporting procurement and business needs, managing software and subscriptions, and participating in vendor engagement and negotiation processes. Responsibilities Works alongside Procurement Manager and Buyer to manage the approved Software and Subscriptions list, including managing fields, data, and defining tools and process Works with and between applications and procurement teams, and other Technology teams as needed, to liaise and consolidate data and records for purchasing and managing tools Learns and participates in vendor engagement, negotiation, and purchasing processes for hardware, software, and network technology Learns the day-to-day Technology procurement team responsibilities and participates in routine responsibilities and administration Complies with all SWCA and technology department policies and procedures, including those for equipment, hardware, software, security, access, and change management in conjunction with department leads and department-specific requirements Skills Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program having a junior classification or higher, with an emphasis in Business Supply Chain Management, Management Information Technology, or related field Recent graduates will also be considered with a graduation date within 12 months of May 2025 Ability to work remotely from most of the Team Reliable high speed Internet connection required Academic experience with Business, Supply Chain, Purchasing, or Negotiation Academic experience using Sharepoint, Excel, and similar tools Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential Strong written and oral communication skills including the ability to document work Strong interpersonal skills Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies Company Overview SWCA is an environmental consulting firm.
