Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of accounting and bookkeeping professionals (5+ team members) to ensure operational efficiency.
Supervise month-end closing procedures and prepare comprehensive financial reports.
Review and uphold precise transactional bookkeeping across various clients or units.
Collaborate with the team to guarantee accurate financial reporting and thorough analysis of transactions.
Assist with transactional tasks as required to meet client deadlines and expectations.
Manage bookkeeping and accounting functions for multi-unit or multi-location operations, ensuring consistent financial management.
Provide direction and support to facilitate team success and fulfill client needs.
Encourage a culture of continuous learning and development by mentoring junior team members.
Required Skills
Minimum of 5 years of experience in full-cycle accounting/bookkeeping.
Supervisory experience in an accounting or bookkeeping capacity.
Strong proficiency in multi-unit or multi-location accounting.
Expertise in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel.
Advanced knowledge of transactional bookkeeping and financial reporting/analysis.
Highly organized with acute attention to detail, adept at managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
Experience leading a team of 5 or more full-cycle bookkeeping professionals is required.
Familiarity with billable hours is an added advantage.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent relevant education and practical experience.
