[Remote] Sr Content Distribution Engineer

This role focuses on managing CDN configurations, improving caching infrastructure performance, and providing operational support for Disney's distribution technology. Responsibilities • Support product driven initiatives and projects • Focus on operations & management of cache solutions • Develop engineering tooling and automation • Training & mentoring Skills • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing caching solutions • Understanding of streaming video protocols (HLS) and how it interacts with caching • Ability to perform Network Troubleshooting • Effective communication, written and verbal • Passion for troubleshooting and debugging • Experience in a Content Distribution Network environment • Knowledge of video players and impact on cache logic • HTTP/DNS/Internet Architecture • Caching (Varnish) • Web Serving (NGINX, HAProxy) • Cloud Technologies (AWS, GCP) • Scripting Languages (Python, et al) • Security Protocols (SSL Certificates, TLS) • Configuration Management (Ansible, AWX) Education Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree required Benefits • A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package • The full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits Company Overview • The Walt Disney Company started as a cartoon studio and evolves into sports coverage and television shows.
