[Remote] Senior Tableau Consultant
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Avaap is seeking a skilled Tableau Developer to join their Data, Analytics & AI team. The role involves partnering with business stakeholders to gather requirements and design, develop, and deploy high-impact Tableau dashboards to support strategic and operational decision-making.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Partner with business stakeholders to gather, document, and refine reporting and analytics requirements
ā¢ Translate business questions into well-designed Tableau dashboards and data visualizations
ā¢ Strategize, design, and prototype visualization solutions aligned to business objectives and user workflows
ā¢ Analyze, prepare, and curate data using SQL and/or Python to support reliable and scalable reporting
ā¢ Develop, test, and deploy interactive Tableau dashboards that are performant, secure, and production-ready
ā¢ Ensure dashboards are intuitive, actionable, and aligned to defined success metrics
ā¢ Implement visualization best practices, performance optimization techniques, and usability standards
ā¢ Support dashboard releases, documentation, and knowledge transfer to ensure long-term sustainability
ā¢ Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and business teams to improve data quality and reporting processes
ā¢ Provide ongoing support, enhancements, and optimization for existing Tableau solutions
Skills
ā¢ Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Analytics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
ā¢ 5+ years of professional experience developing dashboards and visual analytics solutions using Tableau
ā¢ Proven experience strategizing and scoping with business leaders to align on a clear vision of business objectives and outcomes
ā¢ Proven experience working closely with business stakeholders to gather detailed requirements
ā¢ Strong knowledge of data visualization best practices and user-centered design principles
ā¢ Proficiency in SQL for querying, validating, and preparing data from relational databases
ā¢ Experience analyzing and shaping data to support reporting and analytics use cases and intuitively presenting/sharing insights with business leaders
ā¢ Hands-on experience deploying and supporting Tableau dashboards in a production environment
ā¢ In-depth knowledge of Tableau Server administration best practices
ā¢ Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
ā¢ Ability to work on multiple projects and handle competing priorities
ā¢ Flexibility to learn new skills, clients, and geographies
ā¢ Working knowledge Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
ā¢ Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to communicate effectively
ā¢ Must be able to perform work indoors and remain stationary at a computer
ā¢ Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
ā¢ Passion for exceptional customer service and collaboration
ā¢ Ability to work remotely or out of one of Avaap's physical office locations
ā¢ Current permanent U.S. work authorization required
ā¢ Experience using Python for data analysis, data preparation, or automation
ā¢ Experience working with cloud data platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Databricks etc.) and other modern data management, visualization and ETL tools (dbt, Alteryx, Power BI etc.)
ā¢ Solid understanding and exposure to modern, enterprise data management analytics best practices
ā¢ Tableau certification(s)
