[Remote] Senior Manager, Engineering - Data (Remote - US)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Splice is a creative platform for people who make music, and they are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for Data Engineering. In this role, you will lead and grow a team responsible for building and evolving the data platform and analytics infrastructure while collaborating with various departments to ensure a reliable and high-performing data ecosystem.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Data Engineers and Tech Leads focused on data pipelines, warehousing, and platform development
ā¢ Define the long-term data engineering roadmap in partnership with Product, Analytics, and Infrastructure
ā¢ Foster a culture of engineering excellence, data quality, and collaboration across teams
ā¢ Establish clear goals, metrics, and accountability for delivery and operational health
ā¢ Stay updated on the latest technologies, best practices, and industry trends in software development
ā¢ Collaborate with senior engineers to shape technical strategy and achieve buy-in across the organization
ā¢ Champion and advocate for engineering best practices, code quality, and scalability to maintain high standards across projects
Skills
ā¢ Proven expertise in technical leadership within a cross-functional and distributed team environment
ā¢ Outstanding communication, organizational skills, and a user-centric mindset
ā¢ Experience implementing agile methodologies, particularly Kanban and/or Lean
ā¢ Experience leading teams building production features for SaaS applications
ā¢ Proficient in strategy planning and stakeholder management
ā¢ Demonstrated expertise in guiding senior engineers and identifying growth avenues for their continuing development
ā¢ Proven track record of mentoring and coaching early-career engineers in both personal development and business impact
