We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to lead the development and execution of data-driven solutions for our Client Experience team. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data systems, leveraging your expertise in data engineering, data science, and business intelligence.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the methodology and execution of incorporating new datasets to drive business insights and decision-making. Key responsibilities include:
Designing and developing scalable data pipelines and architectures
Collaborating with stakeholders to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions
Building and maintaining large-scale data systems, including data warehousing and business intelligence tools
Developing and implementing data quality and data governance processes
Providing ad-hoc reporting and data analysis to support business decision-making
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and develop effective, user-friendly applications, reports, and dashboards using BI tools like Microstrategy and SAS (50%)
Collaborate with leaders to identify needs and build requirements, providing solutions by building tools, reports, and predictive models (25%)
Research and report best practices and standards for using our BI tools, providing insights on industry trends (25%)
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Master's degree in SQL (preferably BigQuery)
Solid knowledge of Python and Wind stream
Experience with data stitching processes and moving data between platforms
Strong ability to translate business needs into technical specifications
Retail industry experience is preferred
