Job Overview
In this critical role, you will utilize your expertise in SAS programming and SQL to develop and implement automated reporting and advanced statistical analysis solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders to identify business requirements, design and implement complex SQL queries, and create dashboards and reports that present key performance indicators and actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain SAS programs for automated reporting and advanced statistical analysis
Create and refine SAS stored procedures and views to improve data accessibility
Develop and implement complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis from diverse sources
Construct and maintain dashboards and reports that present key performance indicators and actionable insights
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business requirements and deliver compelling analytical solutions
Ensure data quality through validation, implement cleaning procedures, and resolve system process issues
Accurately document technical processes and maintain comprehensive data dictionaries
Guide and mentor junior analysts in best practices for SQL and SAS

Required Skills

Proficiency in SAS data integration and query tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Familiarity with Linux, including shell scripting, and various database platforms such as SQL Server or Oracle
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline
Minimum of 5 years of SAS programming experience, including Base SAS, SAS/STAT, SAS Macro language, and PROC SQL
At least 5 years of advanced SQL experience, encompassing complex joins, window functions, and query optimization
A minimum of 3 years' experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar
