[Remote] Senior Claims Specialist - DE, MD, & PA Workers' Compensation

Great American Insurance Group is a leader in the insurance industry, and they are seeking a Senior Claims Specialist to investigate and adjust workers' compensation claims. The role involves managing a caseload primarily focused on claims from Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, with an emphasis on proactive claims adjusting strategies.
Responsibilities
⢠Investigating losses
⢠Analyzing coverage, determining compensability and benefits
⢠Establishing reserves and negotiating settlements
⢠Conducting meetings on the phone with insureds and claimants
⢠Preparing large loss reports to both internal and external audiences
⢠Attending settlement conferences as assigned
⢠Working closely with defense attorneys and other vendors including medical case management, surveillance, etc
Skills
⢠10+ years of workers' compensation claims adjusting experience with higher exposure claims in Delaware and Pennsylvania is required
⢠Current license to adjust workers' compensation claims in Delaware (or willingness to secure license) is required
⢠You must be a great communicator, in both written and verbal form, and be able to work with a variety of internal and external contacts
⢠Additional workers' compensation claims adjusting experience with higher exposure claims in Maryland is preferred
⢠Strong consideration will be given to candidates with industry designations including Associate in Claims
