About the Role We're looking for a committed and experienced School Social Worker to provide virtual social work services to students in emotional and autism support programs. As an Independent Contractor, you'll work 3 days a week, collaborating with educators, administrators, and families to enhance student outcomes. This role is based in Kingston, PA, and involves working with Tunkhannock Area School District and other programs such as Pineapple Programs, REAL, and WASC initiatives. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality virtual social work services to high school students (grades 9-12) in emotional and autism support programs, with a focus on counseling, emotional support, and targeted interventions. Develop and implement individualized support plans to address the unique emotional and behavioral challenges faced by students, ensuring their academic success and personal growth. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families through virtual platforms to foster a supportive network around each student, promoting their emotional well-being and academic achievement. Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of services provided and student progress, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards. Provide crisis intervention and support as needed, demonstrating a proactive and compassionate approach to addressing student needs. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated on best practices in school social work, particularly in virtual settings and with diverse student populations. Essential Qualifications and Skills To excel in this role, you must possess: Pennsylvania School Social Worker Certification or Emergency Certification (if applicable), demonstrating your expertise and commitment to the field. Proven experience working with high school students in emotional support, autism support, or other special education settings, with a deep understanding of their unique challenges and needs. Strong communication, organizational, and virtual collaboration skills, enabling effective interaction with students, educators, and families in a remote environment. The ability to begin work immediately, showing your readiness to make an immediate impact.
