Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations to identify student needs and develop targeted intervention strategies. Provide counseling and therapy services to students, either individually or in groups, focusing on issues such as academic achievement, social skills development, and emotional regulation. Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to implement evidence-based interventions and support strategies that enhance student learning and well-being. Consult with parents and guardians, offering guidance and support to help them navigate their child's educational journey and address any challenges they may be facing. Develop and maintain accurate, confidential records of student interactions and progress, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of best practices in school psychology and teletherapy, continually enhancing your skills and service delivery. Essential Qualifications and Skills To be considered for this role, you must possess: A Master's degree in School Psychology or a closely related field. Teaching Certification in New York State. Recent experience working in a school setting, preferably with a diverse student population. Experience with virtual or teletherapy services is highly preferred. Bilingual skills in Spanish are strongly desired. In addition to these qualifications, successful candidates will have: Passed our Basic Tech Screening to ensure compatibility with our teletherapy platform. Access to a high-speed internet connection to facilitate smooth, uninterrupted service delivery. The ability to work as an independent contractor (1099), including a willingness to obtain liability insurance. Preferred Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and educators alike. You should be highly organized, able to manage your caseload effectively, and maintain detailed records.
