[Remote] Remote Technology & Asset Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Pac-12 Enterprises is overseeing the planning and support of remote technical production facilities for sports events. The Remote Technology & Asset Manager will manage equipment logistics, serve as a technical consultant, and ensure all technical needs are met for live broadcasts.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Manage, track, and maintain all network equipment inventory in the studio and across Pac-12 campuses
ā¢ Troubleshoot equipment and technical issues with Unit Managers and Campus Liaisons; coordinate repairs, replacements, and resource allocation
ā¢ Oversee all technical aspects of Pac-12 Enterprises' remote broadcasts
ā¢ Serve as a technical consultant to Pac-12 universities on venue upgrades, connectivity, temporary TV compounds, camera positions, and other elements impacting live sports coverage
ā¢ Track equipment and materials budgets for the Remote Operations department
ā¢ Oversee shipping and logistics for all equipment used in remote productions at universities and championship venues
ā¢ Coordinate and schedule training programs for crew members and university students to improve broadcast quality
ā¢ Communicate daily with vendors and internal partners, including Production Managers, on-site management, Remote Producers/Directors, and Engineering, to ensure technical needs are met
ā¢ Collaborate with campus Asset Managers to maintain or replace inventory
ā¢ Review show reports and respond to technical issues requiring follow-up
ā¢ Support traveling production teams on all technical aspects of major events, including football, basketball, and championships
ā¢ Serve as Technical Manager for football, basketball, championship events, and other productions requiring elevated support
ā¢ Perform additional duties as assigned
Skills
ā¢ Minimum 5 years of experience in remote technical operations, preferably in live sports
ā¢ Experience coordinating facilities and equipment with Production Managers, Engineering staff, and Crewers
ā¢ Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
ā¢ Strong understanding of live sports production technologies (TX facilities, remote units, audio, video, graphics, etc.)
ā¢ Excellent verbal, written, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
ā¢ Strong judgment and ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and external partners
ā¢ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
ā¢ Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and during peak seasons; travel required
ā¢ Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
ā¢ Experience working in culturally diverse environments and supporting a wide range of stakeholders
ā¢ Passionate about sports
ā¢ Sports production budget management experience preferred
