Remote Receptionist (Part-Time 15-20 hours/week)

Work from home for a U.S. law firm! PJI Law, a fast-growing boutique firm in the Washington, DC area, is hiring full-time virtual Receptionists. This is a great opportunity for a motivated professional with a strong work ethic who thrives on helping others. Full training provided—no legal experience required. About the Role As the firm’s first point of contact, you’ll handle all incoming calls with warmth and professionalism, ensuring every caller feels heard and supported. You’ll manage messages, assist with client emails, and help maintain smooth communication across the firm. Beyond reception duties, you’ll help document internal procedures, provide administrative support, and back up other team members as needed. Key Responsibilities Answer calls within 5 seconds and manage all interactions cheerfully and efficiently. Ability to respond to hundreds of incoming calls and emails every week Respond to client/prospect inquiries within 8 business hours Accurately log all calls and email communications Manage CRM systems and protect the intake team from unqualified leads Assist with administrative tasks and process documentation Uphold professionalism, even during challenging interactions Requirements & Skills Positive, energetic, and reliable communicator with excellent phone etiquette Fluent in English (spoken and written) with strong grammar and spelling Comfortable working evenings (U.S. business hours: 3:00/4:00 pm – 12:00/1:00 am SAST) Flexibility to work earlier and later hours Proficient in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace Detail-oriented, adaptable, and eager to learn new software and systems Grouwth mindset with the ability to adjust to change Able to multitask, stay focused, and maintain a consistent, upbeat tone Must go the full workday without checking social media Technology Requirements Computer: SSD (≥500GB), 16GB RAM, capable of running Windows 11+ Mouse, webcam, and a microphone headset Fiber internet (≥100 Mbps), wired Ethernet connection (not Wi-Fi) Reliable power backup (UPS or inverter).
