[Remote] Project Accountant I

They are seeking a Project Accountant to assist Project Managers with project lifecycle management, contract processing, and ensuring accurate financial reporting and billing. Responsibilities Be a resource and assist Project Managers in maintaining the life cycle of the project from the notice of award to the final closeout Set up projects, extra work orders, transfers, or other amendments according to contract terms in Deltek Vantagepoint Assist with the creation and processing contracts Review contracts for accounting specific requirements and ensure timely completion of all specialized client billing needs Review project labor and expenses to ensure accurate posting to projects Follow through on all billing related issues to resolution Work closely with Project Managers and Directors to ensure accurate and consistent financial reporting and project billing Invoice clients monthly Respond to client, vendor, or staff inquiries in a timely fashion Prepare accounts receivable statements and follow up on past due invoices Handle project audits as they arise Other duties as assigned Skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 1–2 years of relevant experience, or 3–4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Well organized, detail-oriented, and excellent follow through Ability to think critically and problem solve Highly motivated to progress to the next level Ability to work independently and take initiative when needed Excellent customer service skills: ability to effectively engage and communicate with different personality types Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Must possess a valid driver's license and have active personal automobile liability insurance by first day of employment Deltek Vantagepoint experience a plus Ability to work overtime as needed Company Overview Dudek is an environmental and engineering consulting firm providing services to client's projects.
