Learn more at www.dminc.com About the Opportunity DMI, LLC is seeking a Cloud Architect to join us Duties and Responsibilities: The Cloud Architect is a senior SME-level practitioner responsible for defining and driving TSA’s cloud architecture strategy across AWS, Azure, and hybrid multi-cloud environments, ensuring that cloud solutions are scalable, cost-effective, secure, and aligned with DHS and TSA technical and compliance requirements. This individual serves as the authoritative technical voice on cloud platform design decisions—spanning Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service, and Software as a Service models—and provides expert guidance on cloud-native service selection, migration approaches, and integration patterns for TSA’s modernization initiatives. The Cloud Architect works directly with TSA CIO leadership and TALON engineering teams to shape the trajectory of TSA’s digital transformation. Key responsibilities include developing cloud reference architectures, producing cost/benefit analyses and total cost of ownership assessments for cloud migration options, and providing technical oversight of cloud implementation efforts executed across the concurrent TALON project portfolio. The individual leads cloud security architecture design in alignment with DHS Zero Trust requirements, FISMA standards, and TSA’s ICAM framework, and ensures that cloud environments meet FedRAMP authorization requirements where applicable. The Cloud Architect also provides subject matter expertise on emerging cloud capabilities—including AI/ML platform services, serverless computing, and cloud-native data analytics—that may accelerate TSA mission outcomes. Qualifications Education and Years of Experience: A minimum of 9 years of cloud architecture experience is required, with demonstrated expertise in AWS and Azure at an advanced or professional certification level, and a track record of delivering large-scale cloud migrations and modernization programs in federal environments. Experience with FedRAMP, DHS cloud security policy, and Continuous Monitoring in cloud environments is expected. All personnel must be U.S. citizens or Lawful Permanent Residents with the ability to obtain TSA fitness determination and must be available to support after-hours cloud deployment activities and critical incident response. Background Requirements: Successful completion of a Public Trust background investigation and/or a Public Trust clearance.
