[Remote] Product Architect Big Data Google Cloud Platform
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Reston Hospital Center is seeking a Product Architect who is proficient in problem-solving and capable of contributing to the strategic technical direction for projects and platform migrations. The role involves designing and supporting a GCP-based ecosystem for enterprise-wide data analysis and requires collaboration with team members to execute development initiatives using Agile practices.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Responsible for building and supporting a GCP based ecosystem designed for enterprise-wide analysis of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data
ā¢ Bring new data sources into GCP, transform and load to databases
ā¢ Lead projects in delivering the data and projects on time
ā¢ Closely collaborates with team members to successfully execute development initiatives using Agile practices and principles
ā¢ Leads efforts to design, development, deploy, and support software systems
ā¢ Collaborate with business analysts, project lead, management and customers on requirements
ā¢ Participates in large-scale development projects involving multiple areas outside of core team
ā¢ Designs fit-for-purpose products to ensure products align to the customer's strategic plans and technology road maps
Skills
ā¢ Strong understanding of best practices and standards for GCP application design and implementation
ā¢ Two plus years of hands-on experience with GCP platform and experience with many of the following components: GCS, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Bigtable, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Cloud SL, Kafka, Pub/Sub, Python, Spark, Scala or Java, Dataflow, Data Fusion, GKE, OpenShift, Docker
ā¢ Experience with Unstructured Data
ā¢ Understanding of Lambda Design Architectures and Real-Time Streaming
ā¢ Requires strong practical experience in agile application development, file systems management, and DevOps discipline and practice using short-cycle iterations to deliver continuous business value
ā¢ Expertise in planning, implementing, supporting, and tuning GCP ecosystem environments using a variety of tools and techniques
ā¢ Knowledge of all facets of GCP ecosystem development including ideation, design, implementation, tuning, and operational support
ā¢ Ability to integrate tools outside of the core GCP ecosystem
ā¢ Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field required
ā¢ Minimum 10+ years of experience in Information Technology and 3+ years in Data Engineer required
ā¢ 1+ year(s) of experience in healthcare preferred
ā¢ GCP Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification highly preferred
