What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
 Verify patient identities and maintain accurate patient records.
 Process requests for the release of medical information in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
 Collaborate with healthcare providers, patients, and external entities to safeguard patient privacy.
 Ensure proper handling of sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and other relevant privacy laws.
 Provide coverage for all Health Information Management departments as needed.
What Is Required (Qualifications)
 High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
 Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare, particularly in acute care or related certification.
 Proficiency in health information systems and electronic health record (EHR) software.
 Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
 Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and other relevant privacy laws.
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
 Associate's Degree in Health Information Management or a related field.
 Experience with electronic medical records for at least 1 year.
 Registered Health Information Administrator or Registered Health Information Technician certification.
