Job Description
AAFCPAs is looking for a dynamic Audit Manager to join our Education practice team.
As part of the AAFCPAs team, the Audit Manager will be responsible for:
ΓΒ Supervising engagement team and preparing end-of-engagement evaluations for staff
ΓΒ Monitoring and reporting regarding the productivity of staff, and adherence to work plan schedules on each assignment
ΓΒ Keeping lines of communication open with staff and clients
ΓΒ Keeping abreast of all industry developments and ensuring professional development through ongoing education
ΓΒ Contribute to the firms thought leadership efforts in the Education practice
ΓΒ Anticipating and addressing client concerns, and escalating problems as they arise
ΓΒ Recognizing and informing management of opportunities to increase level and types of services to clients and potential clients
ΓΒ Reviewing all necessary financial statement and related disclosures and significant deficiencies letters, with an eye on quality, thoroughness, and accuracy
ΓΒ Leading the engagement team with an emphasis on collaboration, flexibility and valuing the differences in others
Qualifications
ΓΒ Bachelor's degree in Accounting
ΓΒ CPA preferred.
ΓΒ 5 - 7+ years of auditing experience with independent or charter schools with a Public Accounting firm[DK1]
ΓΒ Strong time management, organizational abilities, attention to detail, communication, and interpersonal skills are required.
ΓΒ To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge and demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
