They are seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to assist with medication adherence, prior authorization processing, and medication reconciliation while providing support to members regarding their pharmacy needs. Responsibilities • Verifies member information and inputs medication data. • Ensures medication access and adherence to optimize health. • Educates members on pharmacy-based rules related to prescriptions and medication resources or assistance programs. • Processes prior authorization requests from physicians’ offices and ensures compliance with Medicare and Medicaid requirements; informs relevant parties of all prior authorization determinations. • Provides resolution to grievances and appeals issues. • Responds to inquiries from patients, providers and other team members related to medications. • Receive calls from members to address any medication or pharmacy related needs. Skills • Requires an active, professional license, State Pharmacy Technician Certification or National Certification based on applicable state(s) requirements, to practice as a Pharmacy Technician within the scope of practice in a state or territory of the United States. • Requires H.S. diploma or equivalent and minimum of 2 years of pharmacy experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. • PTCB Certified. • Experience working with electronic health records. • Basic knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid. • Experience speaking with members/patients on the phone. • Proficiency in computer use while multitasking.
