We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Patient Access Services Authorization Representative to join our team at Banner Health. As a key member of our Patient Access team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive the care they need by obtaining and completing insurance authorization requests for exams scheduled at our Banner Imaging sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Obtain and complete insurance authorization requests for exams scheduled at Banner Imaging sites
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, and request authorization for exams
Provide excellent customer service and problem-solving skills to resolve issues and ensure timely authorization
Work independently from a remote location, following structured work routines and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines
Collaborate with healthcare providers, scheduling departments, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless authorization processes

High school diploma or equivalent required, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare insurance and/or authorizations
Strong knowledge of insurance verification and authorization processes, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health records systems
Certification in CRCR or CHAA preferred, with the ability to obtain certification within one year of hire
