[Remote] Part-time Deltek Costpoint Professional (Accounting and Bookkeeping)

Crest Security Assurance is seeking a part-time Accounting and Bookkeeping Specialist with strong working knowledge of Deltek Costpoint to support their HR Manager and internal financial operations. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, supporting project accounting functions, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Responsibilities • Maintain accurate bookkeeping and accounting records aligned with company policies and applicable government regulations • Support project accounting functions in Deltek Costpoint, including project costing, billing, and financial reporting • Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, and reconciliation of project and operational financial data • Analyze financial and cost data to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for process improvement • Prepare required documentation and reporting to support internal reviews and external audits • Provide ongoing support and guidance to staff on Costpoint functions and reporting processes • Collaborate with leadership to optimize Costpoint workflows and improve data accuracy and efficiency • Assist with system enhancements, upgrades, and improvements related to accounting and reporting Skills • Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping with direct experience using Deltek Costpoint • Strong understanding of project cost control, billing, budgeting, and financial reporting • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a part-time capacity • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to evolving processes and systems • Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams • Must be a US Citizen • Deltek CostPoint: 5 years (Required) • Bookkeeping: 5 years (Required) • Accrual accounting: 3 years (Required) • Experience working in environments supporting government contracting compliance (preferred) • Experience supporting audits (DCAA or other government-related audits) • Familiarity with labor distribution, indirect rates, or project-based financial structures • Prior experience training or supporting end-users in Costpoint • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to evolving technical environments • Costpoint Master Certification (Preferred) Company Overview • CSA partners with clients to serve as a force multiplier in the cyber domain, supporting your mission with innovative solutions.
