We are looking for immediate resources for the below skillset to be based out of USA.
Location: Onshore; immediate start date ; 6 months assignment.
Working Hours : Should be willing to work in MST / PST hours. Candidate can be remote but has to be in USA only (no nearshore)
Experience: The ideal candidate should have 6+ years of experience in ETL testing, with hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Data Fusion.
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Data Validation Testing Engineer with a strong focus on ETL testing, particularly using Google Cloud Data Fusion. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing data validation tests to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data transformations and migrations. The role requires close collaboration with data engineers and analysts to validate ETL processes, identify discrepancies, and ensure that data meets business requirements and quality standards.
Technical Skills required:-
Tools: SQL Server, Airflow, Test complete
Database : Ability to write and execute Bigquery and SQL queries.
Knowledge : Should have knowledge on VB Scripts and Selenium Java
Key Responsibilities:-
Develop and implement comprehensive data validation test cases to ensure the accuracy and consistency of data across ETL processes.
Conduct thorough ETL testing on data pipelines, focusing on data transformations, data integrity, and data migration processes, particularly within Google Cloud Data Fusion.
Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements, design test strategies, and ensure data quality throughout the ETL lifecycle.
Detect data discrepancies, anomalies, and defects in the ETL process.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies are critical.
Develop and maintain automated scripts and processes to enhance the efficiency and coverage of data validation testing.
Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
Ensure that all data validation activities adhere to organizational standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Ensure that all testing activities are conducted following established QA processes and standards.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
