[Remote] Oncology Abstractor

StellarMettle Placements is seeking experienced Oncology Data Specialists to play a key role in capturing and maintaining high-quality cancer registry data that drives research, treatment planning, and prevention programs. The role involves ensuring data quality and compliance, meeting accuracy benchmarks, and collaborating with colleagues in various settings. Responsibilities • Maintain ODS-C certification and professional association memberships (annual dues reimbursed). • Meet accuracy (95%) and productivity benchmarks for abstracting while using centralized tools for tracking. • Participate in onboarding assessments, QA reviews, and targeted training to continuously improve skills. • Ensure data quality and compliance with all standard setters (STORE, AJCC, etc.). • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in CCRS meetings, education sessions, and company town halls. • Adhere to HIPAA and virtual office policies while leveraging Microsoft Teams and other collaboration tools. Skills • Active ODS-C credential and membership in national/state registrar associations. • Minimum 2+ years of recent oncology abstracting experience. • Proficiency with registry software (CNExT, ERS, KACI, Metriq, Oncolog) and EMR systems (Epic, Meditech, McKesson). • Strong understanding of cancer data collection requirements and staging systems. • Reliable high-speed internet and ability to work in a secure, HIPAA-compliant home office.
