Are you a seasoned Medical Biller and Collector looking for an exciting new opportunity to work remotely? Do you have a knack for handling insurance matters, commercial insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, and behavioral health? Are you a pro at AR collections and Excel? If so, we want you! We are a leading healthcare organization seeking an experienced Medical Biller & Collector to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. This role offers the flexibility to work from home and the opportunity to play a vital role in our company's financial health.

Responsibilities:

As a Medical Biller & Collector, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operations of our billing department. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Managing and executing medical billing tasks for our healthcare organization.
2. Handling insurance matters, including liaising with commercial insurance companies, Medicaid, and Medicare.
3. Performing AR collections and maintaining accurate records of all transactions.
4. Utilizing your knowledge of behavioral health to manage related billing and collections.
5. Processing claims and following up on denied claims to ensure maximum reimbursement.
6. Reviewing patient bills for accuracy and completeness, and obtaining any missing information.
7. Maintaining strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and company policy.
8. Utilizing Excel to track, manage, and analyze billing and collection data.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing and collections.
2. Proficiency in insurance matters, including commercial insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare.
3. Experience in behavioral health billing and collections.
4. Proven track record in AR collections.
5. Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets, use formulas, and analyze data.
6. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. The ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
9. Knowledge of medical billing software and electronic health records.
10. Familiarity with medical coding and terminology.
