Job Overview
We are currently seeking a meticulous and dedicated Medical Virtual Assistant to enhance our team. In this pivotal role, you will provide essential support to our healthcare professionals by meticulously preparing and organizing medical documentation, ensuring compliance and accuracy, and contributing to the efficient operations of our medical facility.
Key Responsibilities
Ā Prepare and organize medical records and charts for review by physicians.
Ā Ensure adherence to medical record requirements by self-documenting attestation.
Ā Update patient history, physical exam details, and additional pertinent health information.
Ā Dispatch completed documentation to physicians for review and approval, following established facility protocols.
Ā Monitor laboratory results and screening procedure timelines to ensure timely follow-up actions.
Ā Comply with healthcare facility policies, including HIPAA and Joint Commission standards.
Ā Assist with clerical tasks to enhance provider productivity and clinic efficiency.
Ā Apply critical thinking skills to assess and ensure the quality of documentation.
Required Skills
Ā Prior experience in customer service or healthcare-related roles is advantageous.
Ā Strong communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective collaboration with physicians and team members.
Ā Exceptional attention to detail coupled with problem-solving abilities.
Ā Capability to efficiently manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
Ā Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Ā A compassionate and empathetic approach to interaction with patients and colleagues.
Ā Comfortably work remotely with the following equipment:
Ā Desktop/Laptop with at least an i3/Ryzen3 processor and 8GB of RAM.
Ā Webcam, noise-canceling headset, and a reliable internet connection (minimum 30mbps).
Ā A dedicated and quiet workspace at home.
