REMOTE MEDICAL ASSISTANT (CONTRACT POSITIONS)

Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented REMOTE MEDICAL ASSISTANT (CONTRACT POSITIONS) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties • Assist with patient intake processes by collecting accurate medical histories, vital signs, and current medications through telehealth platforms or electronic health record (EHR) systems. • Document patient interactions thoroughly within EHR systems, including ICD coding for diagnoses and procedures to ensure accurate billing and record-keeping. • Monitor patient physiology during remote encounters, including documenting blood pressure, pulse oximetry, and other vital signs essential for diagnosis and treatment planning remotely. • Maintain clear communication with patients regarding their care plans, follow-up appointments, and necessary health education to promote optimal health outcomes. Qualifications • Proven experience in medical assisting within dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or emergency medicine environments. • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, ICD coding. • Familiarity with EHR systems used in outpatient clinics or hospital settings; experience with Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Center environments is a plus. • Prior clinic experience supporting inpatient or outpatient care in settings such as PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), Geriatrics clinics, or medical-surgical units preferred. • Ability to perform intake assessments accurately while maintaining a compassionate patient service approach. • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively while working remotely across diverse healthcare specialties including internal medicine and medical specialty designations. • .
