[Remote] Lock Desk Analyst I

First Colony Mortgage is seeking a Lock Desk Analyst I to support the daily functions of the lock desk and gain foundational knowledge of mortgage pricing and loan locks. This entry-level role focuses on data entry, communication, and the accurate handling of lock requests while learning the tools and policies governing the lock desk process. Responsibilities Assist with daily processing of lock, re-lock, extension, and change requests Enter and verify pricing data within the loan origination system and pricing engine Monitor lock activity and ensure accurate data recording for audit and reporting purposes Communicate with internal stakeholders regarding lock confirmations and status updates Maintain detailed documentation and assist in maintaining operational logs Support special projects or lock audits as assigned by leadership Skills Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field (or in progress) 0–1 years of experience in mortgage lending or financial services preferred Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and data entry processes Strong organizational and communication skills Willingness to learn LOS and pricing engine systems Attention to detail and data accuracy Basic Excel knowledge (sorting, filtering, formulas) Clear written and verbal communication Eagerness to learn secondary marketing and pricing principles Dependability in meeting deadlines and task execution 0–1 years of experience in mortgage lending or financial services preferred Benefits 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Flexible spending account Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Company Overview First Colony Mortgage is a community bank that focuses on offering a complete range of mortgage and loan needs.
