[Remote] Loan Officer (Virginia)

This position involves guiding clients through the home loan process, focusing on warm leads, and requires no prior mortgage experience. Responsibilities Educate borrowers on the loan process and identify financing options Analyze credit, income, and assets to prequalify or deny applications Structure loans, issue pre-approvals, and manage the process through closing Provide clear, ongoing communication with borrowers and their real estate agent Secure documentation and ensure all stages of the loan process are completed efficiently Perform other duties as assigned Skills No mortgage experience required, but grit and talent are essential Real sales experience required, with recent (within the last 5 years), meaningful sales experience Experience in a role where you were responsible for building trust, tailoring a solution, and closing the deal Influenced buying decisions from start to finish—not roles centered on order-taking or passive upselling Had ownership of your outcomes, often tied to goals, metrics, or earnings/commissions Handled objections, followed up with leads, and earned the sale Ability to learn quickly is essential Strong competitive drive and hunger to earn Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers Ability to stay focused under pressure and in high-volume settings Thrive working remotely and staying self-motivated Succeed in fast-paced or performance-based roles College degrees are not required Benefits Health and dental coverage A wellness program 401(k) matching PTO Paid holidays Company Overview Neighbors Bank is a banking & financial services firm that offers financial services.
