[Remote] Lead Mobile Application Developer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Mindsprint is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the development of next-generation mobile residential applications for solar homeowners and system installers. This role involves driving the architecture and execution of a mobile-first product suite while managing a team of engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Define and execute the technical roadmap for residential mobile applications, with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability
ā¢ Build screens to deliver consistent UX across platforms
ā¢ Ensure seamless integration with EMS firmware and cloud backend
ā¢ Champion best practices in mobile development, including CI/CD, observability, and performance profiling
ā¢ Establish and maintain high standards for code quality, testing, documentation, and operational excellence across all tooling teams
ā¢ Implement metrics and KPIs to measure developer productivity and tool effectiveness
ā¢ Promote a culture of continuous improvement and technical rigor
ā¢ Lead a high-performing team of Swift (iOS) and Kotlin (Android) engineers
ā¢ Provide career development support for direct reports, including mentoring, coaching, and performance reviews
ā¢ Collaborate with globally distributed teams in Korea and India, fostering a strong async-first culture with flexible overlap hours
ā¢ Work with offshore contractors to ensure alignment with team goals and delivery standards
ā¢ Drive agile execution, sprint planning, and delivery of high-quality software
ā¢ Partner with Product Management, UX/UI, QA, and Hardware Engineering to deliver user-centric solutions
ā¢ Coordinate with the Cloud Backend team to integrate with telemetry data and device management
ā¢ Advocate for customer needs and usability through close collaboration with partner teams
Skills
ā¢ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
ā¢ 10+ years of software development experience, with 5+ years in engineering management
ā¢ Proven experience building and launching mobile apps with native iOS and Android teams
ā¢ Deep understanding of mobile architecture, shared component systems, and design systems
ā¢ Good understanding in offline strategy, IoT protocols, and connected devices
ā¢ Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
ā¢ Comfortable working across time zones and cultures; experience with remote-first teams
ā¢ Solar Industry experience (Renewable)
ā¢ Direct experience in connected devices or field services
